This notice explains what personal data we process and why. It covers this website and the enquiries that arrive through it.

What we process
The contact form sends what you enter directly to our own server, where it is stored and forwarded to our email. It does not pass through a third-party form service. We send a confirmation copy to the address you give.
Your IP address and browser identifier are stored alongside the enquiry. They are used only to block automated spam submissions, and nobody is profiled on the basis of them.
When you contact us we process what you provide: name, email address, company if given, and project details such as line type, scope and timing.
Server logs record technical data such as IP address, browser type and the time of the request. These are used for security and fault diagnosis.
Legal basis and purpose
Enquiries are processed in order to prepare a contract, and on our legitimate interest in answering questions about our business. Server logs are processed on our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure.
Audience measurement (Google Analytics) is based on your consent, given through the cookie banner and withdrawable at any time. Without consent no analytics cookies are set.
Retention
Correspondence relating to quotations and projects is kept for as long as the customer relationship and the liabilities arising from it require, and after that for the period accounting law demands. Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted no later than [RETENTION PERIOD, E.G. 24 MONTHS] after the last contact.
Server logs are kept for [LOG RETENTION PERIOD].
Who receives the data
We do not sell or rent personal data. It is processed on our behalf only by the service providers we need in order to operate: our website host, our email provider and, if you have accepted analytics, Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd).
Some providers may process data outside the EU and EEA. Where that happens, the transfer relies on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- know whether we process data about you, and obtain a copy of it
- have inaccurate data corrected
- have data erased where there is no longer a basis for processing it
- object to processing based on legitimate interest
- request that processing be restricted
- withdraw any consent you have given, at any time
How to exercise them
Send your request to iikka.kallio@linkindustrial.fi. We answer within one month. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
If you believe we have handled your data unlawfully, you may lodge a complaint with the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi) or with the supervisory authority in your own country.

We update this notice when our operations or the site change. The current version is always on this page, and the date it was last updated is shown at the top.
